Usually when people hear the phrase "God's calling", we often think that we are committing our whole life and time to the ministry, thus, making us afraid to really respond to His call. As if by doing so, our plans, goals and dreams in our life would be ruined and dissembled. But here's the thing, His calling can happen to anyone, at any time, at any place and in so many ways. Like me, as a youth, God can still call me to work in the ministry, even if it is not full time. I believe his call on me is to share the gospel to my friends and family, to win souls, to give gospel tracts, and to be active not only in the church but also in the campus ministry. And this does not only speaks for myself but also to the believers of Christ out there, young and old. As humans, we tend to think of our own self, that we neglect what God wants us to do, which should be not of the case because doing those things would not even take several hours but just a few. God is not asking us, as students, to leave our studies behind and commit our life already in the ministry, but rather he is only asking us to just dedicate a time for Him. Within a week, for example, comes only a Sunday. As our Pastor BMA always say, God is not asking us to go to church every day but He is seeking that we dedicate our time on a specific day, which happens once within the week, and that is on the Lord's day. When it comes to calling, it's just a matter of obedience, and within that, comes faith. Without faith, obeying His will would not be easy. It is only by His grace that I'm trying my best to live a life by His word and that is pleasing in His sight. There are, at times that I am not able to do what he wants me to do because fear gets in the way or I tend to follow my own priorities instead of Him. But God, being there, is the purpose of reminding us what we are ought to do. We just always have to pray for His guidance and abide in His strength for us to be able to do what he had called us for, because in the end, it is also us who will benefit upon it, through His blessings and when the judgement day comes.
